Cottage in Devon - Brixham Rock

A spacious, modern end of terrace 3 storey town house situated in a quiet private development just a short walk from the town. The ideal property for the larger family, being close to town, and the local beaches and in the heart of South Devon. Within easy driving distance of the bustling town of Torbay with its abundance of shops, bistros, nightlife and tourist attractions, or the quieter villages and towns of the South Hams.

The focal point of Brixham is its harbour, which nestles at the foot of the town, surrounded on three sides by steeply ascending rows of terraced fisherman's cottages. A replica of Sir Francis Drake's 'The Golden Hind' is permanently moored on the harbour.

Brixham has several beaches, the main being Breakwater Beach, just around the harbour, and at one side the pebbly beach is ideal for shallow paddling, or further out deeper water for scuba diving. Another favourite beach is at Shoalstone, with its free outdoor salt-water swimming pool, right on the edge of the sea. It is supervised by lifeguards, and sun beds and deck chairs are available for hire. This beach also abounds with its many warm rock pools left by the tide, where you may take your fishing nets and explore.
